A sale at hessnatur isn’t a clearance sale. We don’t produce goods specifically for the sale, but instead offer you our regular favourite pieces at reduced prices. This is your chance to get organic women’s fashion at reduced prices – made from materials produced to standards such as GOTS and kbA, which ensure lower pesticide use and In the sale, you’ll discover selected styles from previous collections. Many of these items are GOTS-certified. The label stands for defined environmental and social criteria throughout the textile supply chain.

• Organic materials and GOTS-certified designs: Every item of clothing in our sale meets the same standards for materials and workmanship as our regular collections. The majority of our products are GOTS-certified – this label guarantees organic origin and production free from harmful substances, in accordance with GOTS criteria.
• Production in Europe: As a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (since 2005, with Leader status since 2017), we are committed to ensuring good working conditions at our production sites.
• High proportion of natural fibres: In our range, polyester and acrylic are used only in very rare cases – the vast majority of the fibres we use are natural fibres.

Certified natural fibres in the women’s sale

Even in our sale items, we make a conscious effort to use natural fibres in our women’s clothing and offer you these high-quality natural fibres:

• Organic cotton: Whilst, according to the Textile Exchange Market Report 2025 (2023/24 harvest year), organic cotton accounts for only a fraction of the global market, the cotton we use comes from certified organic cultivation. The certified organic standard prohibits the use of synthetic chemical pesticides.
• Organic linen: a tried-and-tested fibre for summer. Depending on where it is grown, linen generally requires little additional watering and has a naturally cooling effect.
• Organic virgin wool & organic merino wool: Around 50 per cent of our wool comes from certified organic livestock farming. It regulates temperature and hardly absorbs any odours, making it particularly well suited to long-lasting knitwear.
• Vegan leather alternatives: For some of our accessories, we use plant-based leather alternatives that contain no animal-derived ingredients and are PVC-free.

We are more than just an online shop. Since 1976, we have been committed to fashion that respects both people and nature. The majority of the fibres we use are of natural origin, and since 1991 we have established our own supply chain through the organic cotton cultivation project at the Sekem Farm in Egypt. With our Leader status from the Fair Wear Foundation (since 2017), we demonstrate our commitment to improving working conditions in our production facilities.

What sets the hessnatur women’s fashion sale apart from conventional sales?

We do not produce any items specifically for the sale. Every discounted item comes from our regular collections and meets the same standards in terms of materials and workmanship. This means you’re buying long-lasting quality at reduced prices.

Are the discounted items from regular collections or second-grade stock?

In the sale section, you’ll find nothing but first-class goods. These are standard garments from previous seasons or one-off items in discontinued colours. All items are fault-free and undergo the same quality checks as our full-price items. Our usual exchange and returns policy also applies to sale items.

Why is organic women’s fashion sometimes more expensive, even in the sale?

Quality, certification and animal welfare come at a price: stable wages at our European production sites, high-quality natural fibres and the complex certification process for organic fibres cost more than conventional mass-produced goods. But it can work out in the long run: if you wear a durable garment for many seasons, the cost per day of wear is often lower. This way, you’re investing in high-quality clothing that will last you a long time.
