Super comfortable, airy and equipped with an ergonomic cork footbed - your feet will love these elegant and sporty mules! The fabric strap is made from our own production leftovers from the women's collection. The banana fiber Manila is processed with organic cotton into a light and durable fabric. When knotted playfully, the strap has a nice stand and is super soft on the skin - so comfortable on hot days. The light rubber sole underlines the summery look and cushions every step comfortably.
Knew? Manila hemp, also known as banana fibre, is still relatively unknown and is produced exclusively for hessnatur. The processed banana fibers are particularly light, durable and easy to care for. They are three times more tear-resistant than cotton and absorb up to 30 percent moisture without feeling damp. Manila hemp grows in the Philippines and, thanks to its robustness, does not need any pesticides or mineral fertilizers during cultivation. We also rely on sustainability for the insole! Because cork is obtained from cork oaks, whose thick layers of cork are peeled and processed by hand. Incidentally, most of the cork oaks grow in Portugal. Not only there do they ensure the ecological balance and are home to numerous animal and plant species. As a renewable natural product, it convinces across the board: It is water-repellent and insulating, robust and flexible at the same time.
