Look forward to special pieces from five decades of enthusiasm for sustainable fashion – presented by people who live and breathe this passion with all their hearts. Among them are many who work at hessnatur themselves and know our values like hardly anyone else.

Julia Wahn is on hand every day in our customer service team to assist our customers. Her favourite piece: the knitted hat in the iconic design. The soft natural fibre blend of organic cotton, virgin wool and 30 per cent recycled wool embodies 50 years of pioneering work aimed at constantly reimagining fashion. It’s an attitude that Julia shares: “For me, nature and creativity have never been opposites. They need each other.”
Content creator Lisa Masé loves the relaxed elegance that comes from the loose fit and the comfortable fabric: “As a mum, it’s important to be mindful of what you wear next to your skin, just as it is for the little ones.”
Content creator Lena di Vicenzio is impressed by the functionality and craftsmanship of the hooded boiled-wool jumpsuit. This is also because it fits in with the philosophy of a mother of two boys: “I want my children to grow up wearing natural materials.”
For our designer Eleonore Brive, the velvety corduroy blouse she has designed is a real hessnatur highlight. For her, the design reflects her love of materials, colours and working closely with suppliers – a collaboration from which Eleonore continually develops new, feminine fashion: “I’m fascinated by things where you can sense their origins.” Made from 100% organic cotton and certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard.
For Durmus Ali Altuncicek, the woollen fleece Troyer is a true hessnatur heritage piece. He has been working in logistics at hessnatur for 20 years, and the camaraderie with his colleagues means just as much to him as the quality that hessnatur stands for. Made from pure organic merino wool with no synthetic fibres, the fluffy wool fleece retains heat and delivers on its promise. Durmus believes: “At a time when so much is changing, people are looking for things that stand the test of time.”
Dagmar Reichardt, a copywriter at hessnatur, loves the generous, oversized jacket. The exciting combination of a modern silhouette and cosy organic wool fleece makes it unmistakable – after all, this material has been a hessnatur classic for generations. And it fits with Dagmar’s view that progress means constantly rethinking the tried and tested: “For me, hessnatur means progress.”
The story of hessnatur thrives on encounters with people who share our values. They may not have superpowers, but to us they are everyday heroes and heroines. Because they feel, question and consciously help shape a better future. Many of them are part of our team; with others, we are united by a love of people and nature.
We asked them to share their very personal perspectives on hessnatur and the ‘Hero Pieces’ in our collection: what inspires them, what convinces them, and what matters to them. The result is a series of honest videos that are both moving and encouraging. Because they show us that we’re on the right track – and that together we’ll achieve so much more.
