We all know linen and it is not uncommon for this fiber quality to be associated with wrinkled fabrics that are at least light and cool. But that's only half the story, because linen can do more. Besides hemp, linen is the oldest cultivated plant and was cultivated for the manufacture of clothing centuries ago. After the fiber was almost forgotten, it is now coming back to life thanks to the trend towards more sustainability. Various linen models for women have a permanent place in our spring and summer collection. You can find shirts and trousers as well as jackets and blouses, whereby we not only rely on pure organic linen, but also on mixed fabrics. We have different materials to choose from, which are suitable for a combination with linen and which are suitable for making something good even better.
Our selected fiber combinations ensure that the properties of the individual fibers come into their own. For example, we combine linen with pure organic cotton, which in turn becomes lighter and more airy, but also has a better ability to wick away moisture. Another possible combination is linen and silk. Silk makes linen smoother and more skin-friendly, while silk enhances linen optically.
The advantages of linen include the following points:
Linen clothing can be easily washed in the washing machine, depending on how it is processed and the additional fibers used. Select a normal washing program at 40°C, sometimes even 60°C are possible. When washing, please follow the care instructions with which we equip the items of clothing. In this way you can be sure that the linen fibers will not warp, but that they will remain dimensionally stable, as is usual for linen. Because: Your selected linen favorites will still be your loyal companion in a few years' time. The fiber quality is particularly high-quality and durable, colors stay fresh for a long time.
We use regional fibers in the manufacture of our linen clothing for women. Your new linen model will be manufactured in, for example, Italy or Poland. We are thus helping to reduce emissions through short transport routes and at the same time support our regional partners. We prefer to use linen from ecologically controlled cultivation or have even launched our own linen project, with which our high demand for biologically compatible linen can be met. Thanks to certified partner companies, the routes taken by the linen fibers are traceable and can be seamlessly documented. Of course, not only are the flax plants grown in the region, we also do not accept long distances for processing and we stick to our regional partners. Our organic linen, for example, comes from Hessen. This is entirely in line with sustainability, to which we align the entire production and which is our top priority. It is not for nothing that we use linen as a natural fiber, which is particularly resource-saving during processing and is compatible with people and the environment.
Women's clothing made of linen is characterized by many advantages. In addition to the points already mentioned, these are also the high tensile strength of the fibers and generally good fiber tension. This prevents the fabric from warping. You can wash the linen shirts or dresses and hang them up to dry. You don't have to worry that small fluff will form on the surface, because the linen fiber does not fray. Thus we have an ideal fiber quality at hand, with which high-quality women's clothing can be produced. Rely on a colorful variety, because even if linen is naturally light and flax-colored, the fibers can still be colored in the desired shade by adding non-toxic and compatible dyes. A dress in a dark shade, a blouse in a lighter shade. The trousers in strong colors and the shirt in two different light shades: linen does not impose any limits and can be dyed very well. At the same time, this coloring is permanent, which means that it does not wash off or fade particularly quickly. In this point too, linen is convincing and thus leaves many other fiber qualities far behind.
