Wool from the Rhön region
A classic from our native sheep
The Rhön sheep is one of the oldest breeds of livestock in Germany. The pure new wool obtained from these animals is particularly robust, hard-wearing and water-repellent. It is therefore ideal for garments that will be used in particularly demanding applications. In 2001, hessnatur rediscovered this ancient breed from this group of low mountains in central Germany. Since then, the textiles made from these organic fibres with an established provenance and minimum transportation have become an essential classic in our product range.
