Kapok from the tropics

The featherweight among plants

Kapok is obtained from the seed pods of the Asian tree of the same name and is often fittingly referred to as ‘plant down’. Extremely lightweight, the fine fibres can hold large amounts of air and therefore keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. hessnatur combines the material, which is difficult to spin, with organic cotton to produce skin-friendly jersey or fill duvets.
